On October 1st, 2017, Mike, Nick and Bob got together at Room #9 of the Hot Dog House in Asbury Park, NJ to learn, play and record two of Mike's songs.
We practiced the songs for about an hour and got them to a place we thought was good. Then set up some microphones, turned on the Yamaha MT4X four track recorder and recorded the songs to cassette tape. Everything was played live until we got both of the songs right.
The entire process took about 3 hours from set up to playing the songs to break down. We were all very stoked with how raw the tracks sounded. After we cleaned up the place we went downstairs to eat pizza.
Weeks later, Bill Bourke transferred the tracks from four track to digital medium at Hangar One in Lakehurst, NJ.
The tracks were brought to Pat Noon at Eight Sixteen / Trax East Studios in South River, NJ. Mike added the vocals and guitar solos. The songs were mixed and mastered that night.
The video for "Where Did You Go?" documents the recording process through the eyes of a Polaroid Cube. The video was shot by Mike and edited by Dana Yurcisin. Follow the link below to see the video.
